Jeep Repair & Service in Dubai

Wrangler, Gladiator and Grand Cherokee — engines, 4x4 systems, solid axles and desert wear

Jeeps in Dubai live two lives: city traffic on weekdays, dunes and wadis at weekends. Sand, heat, low tyre pressures and lifted suspension all leave their mark on cooling systems, steering, axles and 4x4 hardware. We work on the full mechanical side and on the modifications owners add.

Bella Motor is an independent workshop. We are not a Jeep dealer and not authorised by Jeep or Stellantis.

Pick-up and recovery available on request.

Engines: Pentastar and HEMI

The 3.6 Pentastar V6 is the core engine. Known topics are oil leaks from the oil filter housing and cooler assembly in the valley of the engine, and rocker arm and lifter wear that shows as a tick. The 5.7 and 6.4 HEMI V8s in Grand Cherokee and SRT models can develop lifter and camshaft wear, often heard first as a tick at idle. Turbo four-cylinder and diesel versions follow their own service intervals.

Gearboxes and 4x4 systems

The 8-speed automatic (ZF-based) needs fluid service on time in heat and in sand use. Transfer cases (Command-Trac, Rock-Trac, Selec-Trac, Quadra-Trac) and front and rear differentials need fluid changes — more often after deep sand or water. Locker and disconnecting sway-bar functions should be exercised and checked.

Solid axles and steering (Wrangler, Gladiator)

The solid front axle with track bar and steering damper can develop a violent oscillation at speed after a bump, known as death wobble. It is a symptom, not a part: worn track bar bushes or mounts, ball joints, tie rods, loose fasteners or incorrect geometry after a lift. A steering damper only masks it. We find and fix the cause.

Grand Cherokee: air suspension and electronics

Quadra-Lift air suspension uses air springs, a compressor and height sensors; leaks and tired compressors show as a sagging corner or slow raising. Electrical faults are frequent on ageing cars: check the battery and ground connections before replacing modules.

Desert use and modifications

Fine sand loads air filters and enters brakes, bearings and CV boots. After a dune session we check filters, radiator and condenser fins, brakes and axle seals. Lifts, larger tyres and bumpers change geometry, braking and load on steering parts — we fit and set them up as a system.

[ WHAT WE CHECK ]

What we check

  • Oil filter housing and cooler leaks (Pentastar)
  • Lifter and camshaft noise (HEMI)
  • Track bar, ball joints and tie rods (death wobble)
  • Transfer case and differential fluids
  • Air filter, radiator and condenser after sand use
  • Air suspension leaks and compressor (Grand Cherokee)

[ FAQ ]

Questions

What causes Jeep death wobble?

Worn or loose front-end parts — usually the track bar and its mounts, ball joints or tie rods — or wrong geometry after a lift. We find the worn part rather than adding a bigger steering damper.

My Pentastar is leaking oil from the top of the engine. What is it?

Often the oil filter housing and cooler assembly in the engine valley. We confirm the source before replacing it.

How often should I change differential and transfer case oil?

At the schedule interval, and sooner after deep sand, water crossings or heavy towing.

Can you fit a lift kit and larger tyres?

Yes, and we set geometry, steering and brakes up for the new size.

Are you a Jeep dealer?

No. Bella Motor is an independent workshop, not affiliated with or authorised by Jeep or Stellantis.
