Lexus shares much of its hardware with Toyota. The LX570 is closely related to the Land Cruiser 200, and the LX600 to the 300 Series. Lexus adds its own systems on top: AHC hydraulic height control, the 5.0 V8 in the F models and LC500, and multi-stage hybrid drivetrains. Paints like Sonic Titanium and Structural Blue need careful refinishing.

AHC suspension (LX, GX)
Active Height Control uses hydraulic cylinders, accumulators and a pump to set ride height. Accumulators lose their gas charge with age and lines weep in heat, giving a hard ride or a height fault. We test pressures and replace accumulators or seals as needed.
V8 engines
The 5.7 3UR (LX570) is durable; water pump and radiator condition are the main age items. The 5.0 2UR-GSE (RC F, GS F, IS F, LC500) is a high-revving naturally aspirated V8. Oil level, oil quality and cooling are what matter most for it.
Twin-turbo V6 (LX600, LS500)
The V35A 3.5 twin-turbo V6 adds turbos and intercoolers. Clean air filters, the right oil and coolant checks matter more than on the V8.
Hybrids
Lexus hybrids (RX, ES, NX, LS500h, LC500h) cool their inverters and batteries with separate circuits and fans. Blocked battery-cooling intakes (under or beside the rear seat) and inverter coolant pumps are the usual heat-related faults. We work on the cooling circuits, fans and intakes. The high-voltage system itself (battery, inverter, motors) is outside our scope.
Sonic and Structural paints
Sonic Titanium, Sonic Quartz and Structural Blue use special multi-layer effect paints. A panel repair needs spray-out matching and blending. Some colours cannot be matched exactly in a single panel, so we tell you before starting.

Questions
My LX570 rides hard and shows a height fault. What is it?
Usually AHC accumulators that have lost charge, sometimes a hydraulic leak. We test pressures and replace what is needed.
Can you service a Lexus hybrid?
Yes, everything except the high-voltage system: engine servicing, brakes, suspension, cooling circuits, battery cooling intakes and fans, bodywork. High-voltage components are outside our scope.
Can you repair Structural Blue or Sonic paint?
Yes, with spray-out matching and blending into adjacent panels. On some colours an exact single-panel match is not possible, and we tell you before work starts.
Can my LX be upgraded to the facelift look?
In many cases yes, with bumpers, lights and grille plus coding. We check part compatibility first.
