Nissan Repair & Service in Dubai
Patrol Y62, Safari Y61, GT-R R35 and Z cars — engines, gearboxes and suspension serviced for UAE conditions
Two Nissans shape the UAE scene: the Patrol, from the Y61 Super Safari to the V8 Y62, and the GT-R R35, often modified. Add the 370Z and the new Z. Each brings its own engineering: hydraulic body control on the Patrol, a rear-mounted dual-clutch transaxle on the GT-R, VQ and VR V6s on the Z cars.

Patrol Y62 (5.6 V8)
The VK56 V8 and 7-speed automatic are durable. Higher trims use Hydraulic Body Motion Control (HBMC): interconnected hydraulic dampers with accumulators that replace conventional anti-roll bars. Accumulators lose pressure and lines weep with age, giving body roll or a harsh ride. Cooling, AC compressor and radiator condition matter in desert use.
Patrol Y61 / Super Safari
The TB48 straight-six and simple, strong drivetrain make the Y61 a favourite for desert use and restoration. Typical work is cooling-system refresh, suspension bushes, transfer case and differential service, plus bodywork and paint on older examples.
GT-R R35 gearbox
The GR6 6-speed dual-clutch transaxle sits at the rear, connected by a propshaft to the front-mounted VR38DETT engine. Fluid temperature, fluid condition and solenoid health decide how it shifts. Clutch packs, solenoids and the TCM relearn procedure are the common jobs. Launch-control use and tuning increase wear. A “bellhousing rattle” at idle is common and often normal, but should be checked against data.
GT-R engine and tuning
The VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 is strong in standard form. Tuned cars need fuel-system, intercooler and cooling attention proportional to power. We work on tuned cars and fit performance parts, and we say clearly when a modification raises risk.
Z cars
370Z (VQ37VHR) is known for oil gallery gasket leaks on some years and concentric slave cylinder failure on manuals. The new Z uses the VR30 twin-turbo V6 and needs turbo and cooling checks.
What we check
- HBMC accumulators and hydraulic lines (Y62)
- Cooling, AC and radiators after desert use
- GR6 fluid condition, solenoids and clutch data (GT-R)
- Fuel and cooling on tuned GT-Rs
- Clutch hydraulics on manual 370Z
- Transfer case and differential fluids

Questions
My Patrol rolls more in corners than before. Why?
On HBMC-equipped Y62s, the accumulators may have lost pressure or a line is leaking. We test the system pressures.
How often should the GT-R gearbox fluid be changed?
On schedule, and more often with launch control, track use or tuning. Fluid condition and temperature directly affect clutch and solenoid life.
Do you work on tuned GT-Rs?
Yes. We service and repair tuned cars and fit performance parts. We are transparent about the risk a modification adds.
Can you restore an old Patrol Safari?
Yes — bodywork, paint, suspension and drivetrain refresh on Y60 and Y61.
Are you a Nissan dealer?
No. Bella Motor is an independent workshop, not affiliated with or authorised by Nissan.
