Honda Repair & Service in Dubai

Civic Type R, NSX, S2000 and family Hondas — VTEC and turbo engines, gearboxes and chassis

Honda covers two worlds in our workshop. On one side are enthusiast cars: Civic Type R (FK8, FL5), S2000, the original NSX (NA1/NA2) and the hybrid NSX (NC1). On the other are family cars built for heat and mileage: Accord, Pilot, Odyssey, CR-V. We approach both with the same diagnostic method.

Bella Motor is an independent workshop. We are not a Honda dealer and not authorised by Honda.

Pick-up and recovery available on request.

Civic Type R

The K20C1 2.0 turbo is strong but sensitive to heat soak in Dubai traffic: intake air temperatures rise and power drops. Intercooler and intake upgrades are common, and oil and coolant condition matter. The 6-speed manual and helical limited-slip differential need fluid at interval; clutch and flywheel wear follow driving style.

S2000 and NA1/NA2 NSX

The F20C/F22C in the S2000 needs regular valve clearance checks. Over-revs leave a record in the ECU that we can read. The original NSX’s C30A/C32B V6 uses a timing belt that must be changed on time in heat, plus a water pump. Both cars are rising collector cars, and we treat them with restoration-level care.

NSX (NC1) hybrid

The second-generation NSX combines a 3.5 twin-turbo V6, a 9-speed dual-clutch gearbox and three electric motors. Mechanical, brake, suspension and body work we do in-house. The high-voltage system is outside our scope.

Pilot, Odyssey and Accord V6 (VCM)

The J35 V6 with Variable Cylinder Management deactivates cylinders at cruise. Over time this can cause oil consumption, fouled spark plugs, misfires on the deactivated cylinders and worn engine mounts. We check plugs, compression and mounts, and explain the options.

CVT and automatics

Civic, CR-V and Accord with CVT need fluid changes with Honda-specification fluid. Judder at low speed often improves with fresh fluid and a software check. Larger models use 9- and 10-speed automatics.

[ WHAT WE CHECK ]

What we check

  • Heat soak and intercooler condition (Type R)
  • Valve clearance (S2000), timing belt (NA1/NA2 NSX)
  • VCM-related plugs, misfires and engine mounts (J35)
  • CVT fluid condition
  • Clutch and limited-slip differential fluid on manuals
  • AC performance

[ FAQ ]

Questions

My Type R loses power in summer traffic. Is something wrong?

Usually heat soak: intake air temperatures climb and the ECU reduces boost and timing. An intercooler or intake upgrade and a clean cooling system help.

My Pilot misfires on a few cylinders. Why?

On J35 engines with VCM, fouled plugs on the deactivated cylinders are common. We check plugs, compression and oil consumption before suggesting a fix.

Does a CVT really need fluid changes?

Yes, with Honda-specification fluid. Old fluid causes judder and shortens the gearbox’s life.

Do you work on the NC1 NSX?

Yes, except the high-voltage system, which is outside our scope.

Are you a Honda dealer?

No. Bella Motor is an independent workshop, not affiliated with or authorised by Honda.
