Range Rover Repair & Service in Dubai
Range Rover, Sport, Velar and Evoque — air suspension, V8 and Ingenium engines, and electrics diagnosed from data
The Range Rover family covers four very different cars. The full-size Range Rover (L405, L460) and Range Rover Sport (L494, L461) have aluminium monocoques, air suspension and V8 or straight-six engines. Velar and Evoque share smaller platforms with Jaguar and Land Rover models. The engine and platform decide the job, so we identify both before quoting.
Bella Motor is an independent workshop. We are not a Land Rover or Range Rover retailer and not authorised by Jaguar Land Rover.
Pick-up and recovery available on request.
Engines by generation
L405 and L494 use the supercharged 5.0 V8 and 3.0 V6 (water pump, coolant crossover pipes and timing-chain guides on early V8s are the known items), and later the Ingenium 3.0 straight-six mild hybrid. The L460 and L461 V8 is a twin-turbo 4.4 sourced from BMW, with the hot-V layout and its own needs: injector, valve-stem seal and coolant-line checks. Each engine has a different service and failure pattern.
Air suspension
Front air struts on L405/L494 and the compressor are the most common Range Rover repair in our climate. A slow leak makes the compressor overwork and fail. We leak-test springs and lines, read height-sensor values and compressor duty, and replace the cause, not just the victim.
Electrics and battery
Range Rovers carry many control units, and their standby consumption is high. A weak battery causes a chain of unrelated warnings: infotainment resets, parking brake faults, suspension messages. We start every electrical diagnosis with battery and charging tests, then a full scan.
Cooling in the V8
On the supercharged V8, plastic coolant pipes in the valley and the water pump age with heat. Loss of coolant without a puddle is typical. Pressure test with UV dye before any parts.
Body and paint
Aluminium monocoque and panels need aluminium-specific dent and body tools. Range Rover colours include tri-coat and satin finishes. Satin paint, like matte, cannot be machine-polished in the usual way.
What we check
- Front air struts, compressor, valve block
- Battery health and standby drain
- V8 coolant pipes and water pump
- Timing-chain noise on early 5.0 V8
- ZF 8HP and transfer case fluids
- Satin or gloss paint identified before detailing

Questions
Why does my Range Rover’s air compressor keep failing?
Usually because a strut or spring leaks, so the compressor runs far longer than designed and overheats. We find and fix the leak, then assess the compressor.
My Range Rover shows several warnings at once. Where do you start?
Battery and charging. Low voltage triggers faults in many modules at the same time. Once voltage is confirmed good, we clear and re-scan to see which faults are real.
Can you convert my L405 to the facelift look?
Yes — lights, bumpers, grille and coding, depending on the parts. We confirm compatibility and coding before ordering parts.
Is the new Range Rover V8 the same as the old one?
No. The L460/L461 V8 is a BMW-sourced 4.4 twin-turbo. Earlier cars use the supercharged 5.0. Different engines, different known issues and different service needs.
Are you a Range Rover dealer?
No. Bella Motor is an independent workshop, not affiliated with or authorised by Jaguar Land Rover.
