McLaren Repair & Service in Dubai
Carbon tubs, twin-turbo V8s, hydraulic suspension and side-mounted radiators — serviced with Dubai heat and sand in mind
Every modern McLaren road car is built around a carbon-fibre tub (MonoCell, then Monocage), with a twin-turbo V8 behind the cabin and a 7-speed seamless-shift dual-clutch gearbox (8-speed on Artura). The Artura adds a 3.0 V6 hybrid with a high-voltage battery. The cars are light and stiff, which changes how they are lifted, repaired and inspected.
Bella Motor is an independent workshop. We are not a McLaren retailer and not authorised by McLaren Automotive. High-voltage work on the Artura is outside our scope; we do the rest.
Pick-up and recovery available on request.
Side-mounted radiators
McLaren radiators sit in the side intakes behind the doors. In Dubai they collect sand, leaves and debris, and airflow drops before any warning appears. Cleaning them is part of every service we do, and high coolant temperatures in traffic are usually traced there first.
Hydraulic suspension
12C, 650S, 675LT, 720S and 765LT use interconnected hydraulic suspension with accumulators instead of conventional anti-roll bars (ProActive Chassis Control). Accumulators lose charge and lines can weep, giving a harsher ride or a suspension warning. Sports Series cars (540C, 570S, 600LT) use conventional anti-roll bars and adaptive dampers.
SSG gearbox
The 7-speed seamless-shift dual-clutch gearbox needs its fluid serviced on schedule. Clutch wear and adaptation can be read from the control unit. Low-speed judder or reverse-engagement complaints usually start with data and fluid, not hardware.
Dihedral doors, nose lift and electrics
Door struts and latches, nose-lift hydraulics and the car’s battery (often drained by long parking) cause most owner complaints. A battery conditioner prevents many of them.
Carbon tub and body
The carbon tub is not straightened like steel. Damage is assessed for fibre and resin damage. Body panels are aluminium and composite, so paint preparation and dent repair follow material-specific methods.
What we check
- Side radiators and fans clear of debris
- Hydraulic suspension accumulators and line leaks
- SSG clutch data and fluid
- Door struts, latches and nose-lift hydraulics
- Battery health after parking
- Composite and aluminium panel condition before paint work

Questions
My McLaren runs hot in traffic. Is something wrong with the engine?
Usually the side radiators are partly blocked by debris, or a fan has failed. We clean and test them before looking at the engine.
What does a “suspension fault” on a 720S mean?
Most often an accumulator that has lost charge or a hydraulic leak. We test pressures and inspect lines.
Can you work on the Artura?
Yes, except the high-voltage system, which is outside our scope. Brakes, suspension, bodywork, detailing and protection we do in-house.
Is full-body PPF worth it on a McLaren?
On a car with large front intakes and composite panels, PPF prevents stone chips that are complex to repair. Front-end coverage is the minimum we suggest for highway use.
Are you a McLaren retailer?
No. Bella Motor is an independent workshop, not affiliated with or authorised by McLaren Automotive.
