Chevrolet Repair & Service in Dubai
Corvette, Camaro, Tahoe and Silverado — GM small-block V8s, dual-clutch and 10-speed gearboxes, composite bodies
Chevrolet in the UAE means two very different jobs. Corvettes and Camaros are performance cars: front-engined C7, mid-engined C8, supercharged Camaro ZL1. Tahoes, Suburbans and Silverados are heavy, high-mileage family and work vehicles. Both run variants of GM’s small-block V8, so the engine knowledge carries across. The chassis, gearbox and body work does not.
Bella Motor is an independent workshop. We are not a Chevrolet dealer and not authorised by Chevrolet or General Motors.

Small-block V8s (LT1, LT2, LT4, L84, L87)
Truck and SUV V8s use Active or Dynamic Fuel Management. Collapsed or sticking lifters cause a tick and misfire, then camshaft wear if ignored. Performance V8s (LT1/LT4 in C7 and Camaro, LT2 in C8) have no deactivation lifters on some versions but run hot. Cooling and oil condition are the priority.
Corvette C8 dual-clutch
The C8 uses an 8-speed dual-clutch transaxle (Tremec) behind a mid-mounted engine. Fluid service on schedule and correct fluid level matter. Most owner complaints are low-speed behaviour, which we read in adaptation data. The front-lift system is essential on Dubai ramps and is checked at every visit.
Automatics
C7 Corvettes and some Camaros use the 8L90, which is known for torque-converter shudder. A fluid exchange with the updated fluid is often the fix. Tahoe, Suburban, Silverado and later Camaros use 10-speed automatics that relearn shift patterns after service.
Composite bodies
Corvette body panels are composite (sheet-moulded compound and carbon on some panels), not steel. Paint preparation, repair and PDR follow different rules. A crack in a composite panel is repaired with resin, not filler over metal.
Heavy SUVs in heat
Tahoes and Suburbans carry weight and run AC constantly. Brakes, wheel bearings, AC compressors and cooling fans are the common wear items. We check them together at service.

Questions
My Tahoe ticks and misfires. Is it the lifters?
Very often on DFM/AFM V8s. We confirm with misfire data and inspection, and replace lifters before the camshaft is damaged.
Can composite Corvette panels be repaired?
Yes. Composite repairs use resin and specific preparation. PDR works differently from steel, and some damage needs a panel.
How often does the C8 gearbox need service?
Per the schedule, and more often with track use. Fluid level and condition matter for clutch life.
Do you restore classic Chevrolets?
Yes — Corvettes, Chevelles, Bel Airs and early Camaros.
Are you a Chevrolet dealer?
No. Bella Motor is an independent workshop, not affiliated with or authorised by Chevrolet or General Motors.
